Description
first of several sketch studies for 
's commission. now that i feel a LOT more comfortable going straight to color i can take the time i would normally spend trying to noodle the grey to color and instead concentrate on layout story telling and basically all the more important things. i'll spend about 30mins to an hour on each sketch then spend about 10 hours on the final.

I like the way you solved the "lip-problem" (most people have difficulty doing feline anthropoid lips well) by giving her a geisha-like underlip and feline upper lip. I know you use 3D computer models, is that why her hands and feet are so shiny? I haven't noticed that in the earlier versions.
